SMI Offshore: safety first. The quality department operates a continuous improvement process. It monitors, advises, implements and improves to ensure a safe and healthy working environment, with exceptionally high production standards and environmental protection for all of the activities.
The QSHE department continually monitors SMI Offshore’s own manufacturing processes and those of its subcontractors to guarantee flawless performance and top quality. The information obtained from monitoring is used to train and guide SMI Offshore’s employees and those of its subcontractors.
By providing support at the start of and during every production process, prior to delivery and under operating conditions, the QHSE department proactively minimises risks at source and supports a cycle of continuous product improvement at the production facilities and during testing at SMI’s factory and during installation at the client’s worksite.
SMI Offshore’s quality management system is approved by
Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance and complies with ISO 9001:2008, including ISO 3834-2:2005 certification for welding offshore components.
